Despite chilly morning temperatures, Mrs. Campbell's class enjoyed the warm afternoon sun as they walked the hiking trails around Curlew State Park followed by roasting marshmallows by the fire.

November 8th and November 9th: The Rabbit Bus and Bear Bus will run a combined route again today and tomorrow.
Therefore, Rabbit Bus students will be dropped off/picked up about 45 - 60 minutes late.

High School Fall Sports Award Night will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 6 pm in the Elem cafeteria. We will be recognizing Football, Cheer, Volleyball and Cross Country. Hope to see you all there!
Last Thursday, Mr. Zakar's 6th grade got a crash course in basic wilderness search and rescue techniques and survival skills. A big thanks goes out to Ferry County Search and Rescue members Sam Jenkins, Bob Venters, and Jim Beckwith for volunteering their time and expertise to the students of Republic Elementary!

Jostens Cap and Gown order packets will be handed out tomorrow, October 28th, during Advisory. Senior Week is November 14th-18th. Jostens will be at Republic High School to take graduation orders on Wednesday, November 16th at 10:30 a.m. If you do not order on November 16th, you can mail the order form to the Spokane office or order online at www.Jostens.com. Let me know if you have any questions. If your senior does not bring a packet home on Friday, you might want to remind them to bring it home. 😉

We are excited to offer the opportunity of outdoor winter educational experiences to the students of Republic School District. The ROAR program is accepting donations of new or used youth sized snowshoes (in good working condition). If you are interested in donating, please contact the Republic Elementary School at 775-3327 or drop off your donated items at the elementary school office. Mr. Winter's 5th Grade class was greeted with an unexpected surprise at Swan Lake: 4 inches of snow! The students showed a lot of teamwork as they navigated through the many challenges of a snowy trail.
