Sharon has lived in Republic for 36 years, driving school bus for 31 of those. Her son and daughter, Christopher and Sarah, both went to RSD. Sharon loves sports and activities at the school, especially interacting with the kids. She connects to the community in many other ways through her love of animals (Horses!), gardening, canning, baking, making Christmas candy and supporting the beautiful town of Republic.
Route: Deer bus/ Trout Creek
Heather grew up in Tennessee, and she moved to Republic 16 years ago. Her husband is an RSD alumni and her children Ike and Taylynn both go to school in Republic. Heather loves watching RSD sports and interacting with students, she says, "their personalities put a smile on my face." She connects with the community through events such as bingo, bunco, engaging with the Booster Club and enjoys the local Christmas Bazaar.

Driver: Jenni Kilkenny
Route: Rabbit bus/Lambert Creek
Jenni joined the RSD team as a bus driver last school year. She enjoys conversations with the kids and is having a great time getting to know them better. She enjoys driving the ROAR runs and getting to know the local beauty on these field trips. Jenni describes herself as a "home-body" but does love the occasional Bingo night at the Knotty Pine.
Route: Bear Bus/ Old Walker Hill
Rusty has been driving school buses for 4 years in Republic after moving here to be closer to his family. His grandson, Hunter, attends RSD. Rusty enjoys all sports and loves to drive for school events and support our local athletes! He loves his bus route; it is a beautiful drive in the country but what really makes it special are his route kids who he thinks are the greatest! You will see Rusty out and about in our community hunting, fishing, boating, hiking... basically anything outdoors.

Route: Eagle Bus/Wauconda
Sarah started driving the school bus in 2018 for Toppenish School District, she moved to Republic in 2020 to be close to her family. Her children, Ethan, Hailey and Gracey Shook all attended RSD. Sarah says she loves her route kids, they make her day! The best thing is walking through town and hearing "Miss Sarah!" when a student sees her in public. Sarah shares her passion for the RSD with her husband and fellow bus driver, Rusty. You might see Sarah out rock-hounding, she enjoys nature and loves to play guitar, read, sew and most of all play with her dogs!
