Today we celebrated Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders that have birthdays in August and September! Happy Birthday tigers!

Friday the 29th, your hometown Tigers take to the football field in Curlew to face off against the Cougars! This is guaranteed to be a fight to the finish as both teams are UNDEFEATED at this time. Hope to see everyone there cheering on our Tigers! Let’s bring home that WIN!

Parents and Guardians, Washington State Healthy Youth Survey 2023 On October 13th, our school is participating in the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey during the fall of 2023. The survey will be given to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12. The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, sexual behaviors, abuse, risk and protective factors and access to school-based services. Survey results are used by schools, communities, and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks. Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous. There are not codes or information use to match a survey to a student. If you have questions, please reach out at the number below. Best Regards, Loren Finley K-12 Principal Republic School District (509)775-3327 x 140 Elementary (509)775-3173 x 105 HS

Tonight, tonight tonight! C'mon down to the high school gym at 5 pm to watch the Football Team take on the Volleyball Team in an all out battle to see who is top dawg! Losing team has to cook supper for the winning team! Hope to see all you Tiger fans there!!

The ROAR program began its second year with Mr. Avila's 4th grade class attending the Water Festival in Kettle Falls. There, students learned about sturgeons living in Lake Roosevelt and also played a game to represent the struggles salmon face as they navigate the Columbia River. Students then explored Sherman Creek in search of aquatic life that is present in healthy streams. And finally, students were taken on a boat where they were taught how to properly rescue someone who falls in to the water. A special thank you to Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the National Park Service, the United States Forest Service, and Sherman Creek Fish Hatchery for hosting this event.

Republic Parents/Guardians:
As we navigate through the school year with bussing/transportation, please be advised that at any given time, we may be short bus drivers and need to combine or delay routes. This may also be due to inclement weather delays. This is not ideal and our utmost priority is getting our students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. While this can be frustrating and inconvenient, please understand that we only make this decision if we have exhausted all other options for that given school day. We will communicate all delays or route adjustments through email, all calls, Facebook, and the school district website. Thank you for your flexibility and patience during these moments and if you know anybody who would like to drive a school bus…please have them contact the transportation department at 509-775-3654.

Lambert Creek bus will be running about 1 hour late tomorrow, Monday, September 11th.

Picture Day is almost here! It is scheduled on Thursday, September 14th. Sports and individual pictures will be taken on this day.

Attention K-6th Grade Parents: There will be a parent volunteer meeting to discuss fundraising ideas for the Republic Outdoor Adventure Rangers (ROAR) program.
